Bio

Tony Lai joined the Road Warriors as the assistant coach in 2022, after coaching and playing wheelchair basketball for over a decade with the Bay Area Outreach & Recreation Program (BORP) in Berkeley, CA. While at BORP, along with Jonathan Newman and Chuck Gill, he helped create an adult wheelchair basketball program that welcomes adults of all physical and skill levels to participate, learn, and compete as a team. When not on the court, Tony is a data scientist and a vocal advocate for educational, recreational, and professional opportunities for people with disabilities.
